
Motorola has revealed a lighter version of Motorola Xoom as a Motorola Xoom 2. In design it is very much different from the predecessor with a crafted design & RAZR-like edging but the screen size is maintained. It measures 10.1 inch display of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The dimension of the handset is 253.9 x 173.6 x 8.8 mm & weighing only 599g which is lighter than the previous Xoom. For the protection the display is made from the Gorilla glass and added a layer of splash proof material to make the display scratch resistant.
Although the handset is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor but it takes some time to open applications. The processor is backed up by 1GB of faster RAM. The device is not running on the latest version of Android operating system so it is little bit disappointing for the Motorola users. ICS is an OS designed with united features of smartphone & Tablet version. It runs on v3.2 Honeycomb operating system designed specially for the Tablet but Motorola has promised to update latest ICS operating system. As storage it has included 16GB built-in memory & also support microSD card to extend its memory up to 32GB.
In terms of multimedia features it sports 5 megapixel rear camera along with autofocus, LED flash & geo tagging features. For video calling it has included 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. It is also capable to record video at 720p@30fps.
