We have seen lots of leaks and heard many rumors related to the launch of Blackberry Bold 9790 but now RIM has finally announced November 25 as a date for the launch of this much awaited Smartphone. Indonesia will be the first country to get this device RIM has opened the first BlackBerry Lifestyle Store there and sold first 250 phones with 50% discounts. According to one official at the store the new Bold 9790 will hit the Indonesian stores for Rp.4599000 (€380).
This BlackBerry Bold 9790 runs latest OS 7 and boast 2.44 inch touch screen display with 360x480 resolution and powered 1 GHz high speed processor. The QWERTY-equipped handset ships 8GB of onboard memory and also features a micro SD slot that can be expanded up to 32GB external space. The device will offer NFC and augmented reality support and pre loaded with Blackberry Messenger, Documents to Go Premium and BlackBerry Protect.
Carlo Chiarello, senior vice president of hand held product management at RIM has assured us the right balance of resolution and LCD quality resulting in good blacks and contrast levels. BlackBerry bold has been given UK release date of early 2012 and we expect UK price to be something similar to other Bold which is currently costing €35-40 per month.
