In a research made by Distimo the Apple’s AppStore generates six times more revenue than Android Market. This calculation has been done on the top 200 grossing applications and the results came that the App Store on the iPhone is earning four times more than the Android market, while the one on the iPads is doing twice the whole market.
Windows Phone Marketplace is now the fourth largest store, its total no of available games beats the one of Amazon’s AppStore, the Ovi Store and the BlackBerry App world. The Android market might be catching up with the App Store, but the Apple’s platform is still the most profitable one for the developers.
